We are a passionate team of lighting enthusiasts who began our journey managing commercial lighting projects at one of Singapore's top electrical firms, AEC, in 2017. During our time there, we discovered the transformative power of lighting in enhancing spaces. This inspired us to explore how we could elevate residential lighting in Singapore, making it smarter, more beautiful, and delivering exceptional performance. In 2019, we proudly established Near, Singapore's first smart lighting brand.

Driven by our vision to create lighting solutions that every Singaporean household will enjoy, we leverage our experience in lighting product development. Since 2019, we have expanded our range from just 5 SKUs to over 180 today, many of which meet local safety-mark standards. Our luminaires undergo rigorous testing and multiple rounds of refinement before they are introduced to the market.

Expanding Our Lighting Solutions: Introducing Honest Lighting

As Near continues to deliver high-quality smart luminaires, we believe it’s time to broaden our lighting offerings to include non-smart options. This expansion will better equip us to illuminate entire homes, catering to our customers' diverse needs. To achieve this, we launched Honest Lighting, a residential lighting store that curates and sells beautiful luminaires alongside our home-grown residential smart lighting brand, Near.
